Digital transformation to help recover fruit and veg industry

 

 

From October 4 to 6, 2022, FRUIT ATTRACTION, the International Fair specialized in Fruits and Vegetables, will take place at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid.

In Hall 5, the "Smart Agro" and "BioTech Attraction" zones will be located, where visitors will find the AgroTech collective stand, organized by the AgroTech SPAIN Association. The stand will bring together a dozen technology companies that digitize fruit and vegetable companies.

The objective of AgroTech is the Digital Transformation of all the companies that belong to the Spanish and international fruit and vegetable ecosystem, covering the 4 sub-sectors of the agri-food chain: production, marketing, distribution and transformation industry.

The current uncertainty due to high production costs (inputs, fuel, energy), greater bureaucratic burdens, high environmental demands, appearance of pests and diseases from 3rd countries, imports from non-EU countries that represent competition with European producers, rise in social costs and the almost impossibility of raising sales prices, results in compromised profitability of fruit and vegetable companies; and the digital transformation is one of the powerful solutions with which it will be possible to face the aforementioned problems.

For this reason, AgroTech invites all Fruit Attraction participants seeking to improve their profitability and reduce costs, to meet at their collective stand 5E07 in Hall 5, in the "Smart Agro & BioTech Attraction" area.
